Henley joined the KSHS, Inc. in 2006 after serving as associate director of gift planning at the KU Endowment Association, where she cultivated and solicited major and planned gifts. She previously served the Association as development director for the graduate school and international programs. From 1987 - 2000, Henley was director of the Kansas Film Commission, where she promoted and facilitated film production in Kansas. She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Kansas. A fourth generation Kansan, Henley has traveled the state extensively in her previous positions and looks forward to renewing that effort in her new position. At KSHS, Inc., Henley will help to build the financial infrastructure for the foundation and will work closely with members of the board of directors, located around the state. "I have a deep and abiding love of Kansas, its people, and rich history. I am thrilled to be here at the Historical Society. It feels like I'm coming home." KSHS, Inc. helps to support the many programs of the Kansas Historical Society, the state agency. Its membership includes individuals, organizations, institutions, and corporations in support of Kansas history. KSHS, Inc. also operates the Museum Store and its branches at the Kansas State Capitol and State Historic Sites. Henley also works closely with Jennie Chinn, the executive director of state agency. |
