Biographical sketch: Adda Uhl was a native of Marietta, Ohio, born and raised near the Muskingum River. In 1876 she meet President Rutherford B. Hayes at a park near he r home. She moved to Kansas later that year, beginning to farm in Desoto in Johnson County. She married Charlie Beecroft in 1890. Less than a year later, her mother died. In 1917 her father died and she moved to Bonner Springs.
