Abstract: Consists of 41 vol., including typescript and photocopies of Santa Fe records (1820-1940). Includes reports, correspondence, lists, clippings, photographs, and financial documents describing development of Santa Fe and subsidiary lines. Primarily concerned with the construction and operation of the railroad. Includes a station index and car and locomotive plans for model railroaders. Includes construction histories of the various lines. Some of the topics represented are the Atlantic & Pacific Railway Co.; struggles of early settlers in Kansas; growth of the Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe Railroad; the Eastern Oklahoma Railway Co.; the Eastern Railway Company of New Mexico; correspondence & reports; railroad surveys, location & construction; and reports to stockholders.
