January 29, 2011, marks 150 years of statehood for Kansas. To commemorate Kansas 150, communities and organizations throughout the state will be marking this occasion in many different ways.

The Kansas Governor's Cultural Affairs Council is hosting a brainstorming and idea-sharing session to develop plans for a statewide commemoration of Kansas 150. You are invited to attend.

Join the Kansas Historical Society, Kansas Humanities Council, Kansas Division of Travel and Tourism, Kansas Arts Commission, State Library of Kansas, Kansas Film Commission, Kansas African-American Affairs Commission, Kansas Hispanic and Latino American Affairs Commission, and the Kansas Governor's Office in a lively discussion on ways that every Kansas community can become involved.
