JWood stove at Grinter Place State Historic Site, Kansas Cityoin us at 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. the second Saturday of November, January, February, and March as we honor the Grinter Place heritage of cooking on the wood stove. Explore traditional recipes through cooking demonstrations as we prepare a lunch of savory dishes, make a craft project, and hear a presentation on local history topics. $5 admission fee includes lunch, speaker, and tour of Grinter Place. $3 fee for speaker and tour only.

January 14
Menu: chicken vegetable or cheese soup, grape dumplings, prune cake

Menu: chili or chili con carne, apple cookies
