Preserving Kansas Summer Institute - June 19: Kansas State Historic Preservation Office staff will present information about preservation topics and programs. Sponsored by the Kansas Historical Society.
Historic Window Preservation and Weatherization Workshops
- Window Restoration Boot Camp, June 16 - 18, 106 S. Genesee Street. Craftsman and educator Bob Yapp will lead a three-day, hands-on workshop demonstrating repair techniques for historic wooden windows. Registration is limited to 18 participants.
- Building Storm Windows, June 20-22, 101 S. Canada Street. Bob Yapp will continue his hands-on workshop with a three-day tutorial on building wooden storm windows. The class will utilize the St. Martha’s AME Church and will construct storm windows specifically for that building. Registration is limited to 18 participants.
