Topeka - Kansas Historical Society - Historic Preservation Fund public hearing

The Historic Preservation Fund Grant review committee of the Kansas Historic Sites Board of Review will conduct a public hearing concerning this year’s round of competitive grants, 9 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2017, in the museum classrooms, Kansas Historical Society, 6425 SW 6th Avenue in Topeka.  

Applicants are not required to attend the hearing; however, applicants are welcome to address the committee on the merits of their proposal.  Applicants are requested to keep comments to a maximum of 3-5 minutes as the committee’s time is limited. The committee will take comments from the public before adjourning to prepare a final report. 

The Kansas Historic Sites Board of Review will consider the committee’s report at its quarterly meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017.  Following the May meeting, all grant applicants will be notified in writing as to whether they will receive an award in the 2017 round of grants, pending availability of funds.
