Topeka - Kansas Museum of History - West Fest: National Day of the Cowboy

Calling all cowboys at heart! West Fest: National Day of the Cowboy is fun for children 10 years old and younger.

Museum Admission:  $10 adults, $9 special*, $5 children (2 - 17)

*Special - Seniors 65+, active military, college students with ID

Activities with purchase of museum admission or free to Kansas Historical Foundation members!

  • Explore new museum exhibits
  • Climb inside the full-sized covered wagon.  Great photo op!
  • Gallop through the gallery on stick ponies
  • Enjoy one stagecoach ride

  • Pet miniature horses and a mustang
  • Join in campfire sing-a-long
  • Practice roping
  • Pan for gold
  • Play fun historic games
  • Get your face painted

Mahaffie Stage Stop and Farm stage coach rides also available for $3 per ride.

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Free hot dogs and chips while supplies last.
