Grab a handful of pennies and head to the Kansas Museum of History for a day filled with activities for all ages. Any funds collected at this event will benefit the preservation of deteriorating Lincoln artifacts in the museum's collections.
Penny admission to the Museum throughout the day
Games - penny pitching, family scavenger hunt in gallery
Children's Activities - create a stovetop hat story book, birthday card for Lincoln, send advice to President Obama for his first 100 days, Kids Voting Kansas
Bring your camera - photo opportunity with our "Abraham Lincoln" and fun cutouts
Speakers will present on Lincoln topics in the museum classrooms
Book signing and presentation by Carol Dark Ayres, author of Lincoln and Kansas (copies may be purchased at the event)
Lincolns for Lincoln - purchase and personalize a Lincoln hat for $5 - funds go to preservation of Lincoln artifacts
Free Lincoln bicentennial poster (one per family, while supplies last)
