Leading the Way: Famous Kansans

Every community has its Hometown Heroes. The family doctor who is always on call, the librarian who provides after-school activities for kids, and the local businessman who donates time and money to bolster the community are hometown heroes.

	Who will be the next famous Kansan? Take a trip through the other exhibit at the Kansas History Center to learn more about famous Kansans.
This exhibit was based on the results of a survey begun in March 1998. Special credit should be given to Dave Webb and the Kansas Heritage Center for the resource 399 Kansas Characters. This exhibit was made possible by the generous support of Western Resources.
