Nancy Landon Kassebaum Baker

Elected to the U.S. Senate from Kansas in 1978, she grew up in Topeka, the daughter of Kansas governor and 1936 Republican presidential candidate Alf Landon.

In 1960 he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and in 1968 to the U.S. Senate. Dole eventually became the Senate Majority Leader and a presidential candidate. Dole was born in Russell.

He was a five-star U.S. Army general who was elected to two terms as U.S. president beginning in 1953. Eisenhower grew up in Abilene.

He was an Emmy-winning actor who portrayed Doc Adams of Dodge City on the television series Gunsmoke. Stone was born near Burrton.

James Reynolds

He is an Emmy-nominated actor who portrays Commander Abe Carver on NBC's Days of Our Lives. Reynolds was raised in Oskaloosa.

She was a silent screen star known for her beauty. In addition to her American films, she starred in the German classics Pandora's Box and The Diary of a Lost Girl. Brooks was born in Cherryvale.
