Ralph Terry

He won the seventh game of the 1962 World Series for the New York Yankees. He lives in Larned.

He invented the game of basketball and became its first coach at the University of Kansas in Lawrence.

He won an Olympic silver medal in the 1,500 meter race in 1936. He grew up on a farm outside of Rolla.

He won 416 major league baseball games. His record of 110 shutouts still stands. He was born in Humboldt.

Barry Sanders

A Heisman Trophy winner he now plays football for the Detroit Lions. He was born in Wichita.

In 1941 she won the national bronc riding championship and was later inducted into the National Cowgirl Hall of Fame. She grew up in Council Grove and Strong City.
