How to Book a KITES Exhibit

KITES exhibits may be booked for a four-week period, which includes shipping time. In some cases, exhibits may be booked for an eight-week period. Exhibits are scheduled on a first come, first served basis, so please plan ahead.

To make a reservation, contact the Program Scheduler at the Kansas Historical Society, 785-272-8681, ext. 414, or use our online request form. Your reservation will be complete when you receive a written confirmation and a rental agreement.

Borrower's Responsibilities

The borrower pays a handling fee of $25. In addition, you must either

1. pay for round-trip shipping, or
2. pick up and return the exhibit to the Kansas Historical Society in Topeka.

KITES will bill you for the handling fee. Billing for shipping costs will vary, depending on shipper (if applicable).

Borrowers are not liable for wear and tear on the exhibit as a result of normal use. However, you are responsible for the care and security of the exhibit while it is in your possession. Any damage that occurs due to abuse of the exhibit is the responsibility of the borrower.
