Homes Through the YearsPeople around the world and throughout time have found many ways to create a home using the materials at hand. Houses built by Kansans throughout many centuries highlight the universal process of people creating structures within specific physical settings, guided by the technical idea of "house" and the cultural blueprint of "home." The one constant is the search for that sense of security and belonging. This exhibit explores the reasons behind different house styles, from the Native American tipi to the modern ranch and beyond.
