Southeast Asian Traditions from the Homelands

Since the fall of Laos in 1975 Kansas has received many immigrants from Southeast Asia. Cambodian, Hmong, Lao, and Vietnamese families maintain their own distinct cultural traditions within their new homeland. This exhibit explores such Old Country traditions as the Vietnamese dragon dance, Hmong paj ntaub (flower cloth), and Laotian weaving. Produced by the Kansas Historical Society.
