Kansas Census - Federal and State, 1855-1930
Kansas censuses are available in the Kansas Historical Society
from 1855 through 1930. All are on microfilm, and some are available
through our interlibrary loan program. Indexes
for selected years are also available. Please see our reference
correspondence policy for the reference assistance we are able to
provide.
Federal census records are closed by law for 72 years. Kansas did not
take a full state census after 1925.
