Military Records: Plains Indian Campaigns (1865–1880)
The Kansas Historical Society holds a wealth of information about
military engagements and those who participated in them. The society’s
library, manuscripts, and State Archives holdings contain documents
and publications that describe Kansas soldiers and Kansas conflicts.
The society’s Military history manuscripts collection, no. 617,
also may hold documents of interest to genealogists. A finding aid to
the collection is available in the Research Room.
