The 150th anniversary of Kansas statehood is a grassroots effort of
Kansas communities, organizations, and agencies to mark the state's
entry as the 34th state in the Union on January 29, 1861.
The Governor's Cultural Affairs Council is coordinating planning efforts:
Kansas African-American Affairs
Commission, Kansas Arts Commission,
Kansas Film Commission,
Kansas Hispanic and Latino American
Affairs Commission, Kansas Historical
Society, Kansas Humanities
Council, Kansas Travel and Tourism,
and State Library of Kansas.
The public is invited to participate in this grassroots effort. For
