Spanish American War

The Spanish American War was so brief that the manuscript collections of the Kansas Historical Society have only a few good examples of war letters. Much of the news from soldiers concerned training, and medical inoculation. However a very good letter from Wilbur L. Hutchinson (Company M, 20^th Regiment) describing the military and political situation in the Philippines is included here.
