Don Lock

Don Wilson Lock was born July 27, 1936, in Wichita, Kansas. Lock attended Wichita State University where he played both baseball and basketball. Lock was drafted by the New York Yankees but never played a major league game for the team. Lock played in the minor leagues for a while before he was traded to the Washington Senators, where he made his major league debut on July 17, 1962. Lock played center field with the Senators until 1966, when he was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies. Lock played with the Phillies until 1969, when he joined the Boston Red Sox. Lock retired after a year with the Red Sox. After retirement Lock became a manager for minor league teams. Lock was inducted in the Kansas Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974.
