Jane Deterding, a Kansas native, earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Finance from Wichita State University. She received a juris doctorate from the University of Kansas. After a decade of private practice in business and commercial law, she joined Citizens Bank of Kansas in 2001. There she served as general counsel and executive vice president, and became chairman of the board in 2004.
Deterding is a member of the Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission, and is involved with community service work for the Salvation Army, Wichita State University, Delta Gamma Sorority, and the Kansas Humane Society.
She lives with her husband, Brent Lehner, in western Sedgwick County.
