Kansas Newspaper Database
The Historical Society has a nearly comprehensive collection of newspapers for the state. Kansas residents can borrow newspaper microfilm by placing a request with their local library for an interlibrary loan. Many newspapers dating from 1854-1922 are also online and free for Kansas residents to use via the links in this database. Out-of-state researchers should contact KSHS reference staff for more information. Some microfilm is available for purchase.
