Kansas Memory — Our digital archives of primary sources on Kansas history.
Digitized Kansas maps — From the Special Collections and University Archives, of Wichita State University Libraries. It contains more than 325 Kansas maps dating from 1556-1900.
Territorial Kansas Online —Our virtual repository of primary sources related to Kansas Territory from 1854-1861.

Marijana's Strawberry Hill: A Croatian Settlement in Kansas City — This collection of paintings by American-Croatian artist, Marijana Grisnek illustrates life in the Croatian Settlement of Strawberry Hill in the 1930s-1940s. Teachers are invited to use the enlarged images for developing a media program for their students.
Newspapers
Chronicling America — Through a grant awarded to the Kansas Historical Society, 100,000 newspaper pages from our collection will be digitized. These pages come from newspapers dated from 1860-1922. A list of the Kansas newspapers that have been digitized can be found at Kansas Digital Newspaper Program.
National Archives website links and resources
National Archives — A great source for those teaching American history. Not only does it include reproducible primary source documents but also lesson plans correlated to the National Standards for history and social studies.
Central Plains Region National Archives, Kansas City, Missouri — This branch of the National Archives strives to help teachers and students in the Central Plains.
Our Documents — The 100 Milestone Documents — 100 milestone documents, compiled by NARA, and drawn primarily from its nationwide holdings. The documents chronicle United States history from 1776 to 1965.
Photographs online —This page will allow you to search for photographs related to a variety of subjects, i.e., American West, African Americans during World War II, Indians, American Cities, Civil War, Revolutionary War, and many other topics.

Social Studies Central — This website developed by Glenn Wiebe, Social Studies consultant, of ESSDACK (the Educational Services and Staff Development Association of Central Kansas). Glenn provides resources that will help teachers to engage students. He reviews websites and offers the latest technological resources.
