Koch Industries Education Center in the Potawatomi Mission

Koch Industries Education Center The mission, part of a complex of buildings, was built in 1847. It was operated as a boarding school for children of the Potawatomi Indians, an eastern tribe which had been forced west by the federal government in the 1830s.

The mission is location at the Kansas Historical Society's headquarters in Topeka. The first floor also has a small exhibit on Kansas missions plus a period classroom for school groups. The second and third floor offer meeting and conference facilities for rental.

Tuesday - Friday
And third weekend of every month
10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday
1 - 4 p.m. Sunday
