ANNA CARLSON
from History of Kansas Newspapers (1916)
ANNA
CARLSON was reared in Lindsborg, Kan. At the early age of fourteen she
was initiated into the mysteries of the print shop, and since that time,
with the exception of one year spent in Alaska, she has been identified
with the Kansas press. For more than twelve years she was editor of
the Lindsborg News. Last year she had charge
of the editorial page of the Wichita Daily Eagle
during the absence of Hon. Victor Murdock. Miss Carlson is well known
throughout the state as an editorial writer and paragrapher, and her
feature column of the News, "The Vitascope,"
has been widely quoted even beyond the bounds of the state.
