Architect Ray Gamble, who served as Kansas' state architect from 1917 to 1923, designed the Prescott Rural High School in the Commercial style with popular Mission and Spanish Revival architectural details. Built in 1924, the one-story brick building includes a two-story gymnasium and two mid-20th century additions.
