Certification SeminarFebruary 16 & 17, 2008 Through lecture and hands-on experience, this class will deal with the photographic documentation of archeological evidence. Photographic equipment, films, techniques for field and specimen photography, the dos and don'ts of digital photography, and the storage and filing of photographs will be discussed. A limited number of 35mm SLR cameras will be provided for instruction. Personal cameras are welcome. The class fulfills one of four class requirements for Advanced Archeological Crew Member and one of four class requirements for Advanced Archeological Laboratory Technician. People must attend both Saturday and Sunday to receive certification credit. However, participants do not need to be enrolled in the KAA Certification Program to take the class. Membership in the KAA is required, and non-members are welcome to join in Lindsborg at the time of check-in. Please pre-register no later than January 25, 2008, by sending your name, complete address, telephone, cell phone, and e-mail address to vwulfkuhle@kshs.org. A minimum of 15 students must be enrolled for the course to be offered, and the seminar will be canceled if a sufficient number of people do not pre-register. Please supply as much contact information as possible in case there is a need to communicate quickly with those who have pre-registered. Do not send money; a $10.00 per person course fee will be due the first day of the seminar. Beverages will be provided for breaks. Please bring goodies to share. This seminar is co-sponsored by the Department of Social Services at Bethany College.
