Gala
Hundreds of Kansans participated in the Kansas Territorial
Sesquicentennial Commission Gala, April 2, 2004. The Gala was co-chaired
by Governor Kathleen Sebelius and former Senator Bob Dole. Dr. Valdenia
C. Winn, Kansas City Kansas State Representative and a member of the Kansas
Territorial Sesquicentenial Commission's Advisory Committee, chaired the
Gala committee. The Gala was made possible by the generous donations of
Washburn University and Glazers of Kansas.
