Esther Brown was an ordinary woman with an uncommon
idea. She believed that all people should be granted a fair shake in
education. Despite the hatred of an all white community, Brown stood
up for her beliefs, influencing events that would bring equal education
and opportunities to all.

their 2006 Kansas History Day project.
