Kansas History Day

History Day is actually a yearlong learning opportunity for students in grades six through twelve. This nationwide history education program offers teachers practical models for integrating history standards in the classroom.

Kansas History DaySponsored by the Kansas Historical Society, History Day encourages students to study history and exercise their critical thinking skills. Thousands of Kansas students have participated in the local, state, and National History Day competitions. Find out more about this year's contest and theme.

Kansas History Day will be held April 26, 2008 at Washburn University in Topeka. Find more information about the state contest.

National History Day will be held June 15-19, 2008, at the University of Maryland, College Park. Find more information about the national contest.
