Traveling Resource Trunks

The Kansas Historical Society offers an exciting series of educational resource trunks. Trunks are based on a specific theme and include hands-on activities to help students better understand the history of Kansas. Each trunk is aimed at a specific age level but the information within the trunks can be adapted for use with all ages. Complete instructional information is included with each trunk.

Trunks are available in Kansas on a first come, first served basis. The borrower is responsible for all shipping charges, including return. To minimize costs, the borrower may make arrangements to pick up and/or drop off trunks in Topeka. The loan period is four weeks; this includes shipping time. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. A pre-use packet of information will be sent in advance.

A form is available for your use in submiting information about your request. Your order will not be final until you receive email or phone confirmation.

For more information contact the Education and Outreach Division at 785-272-8681, ext. 414; education@kshs.org.
