Contents: Transmits an account of beef cattle furnished for the Ottoes & Missouries at their annuity payment in 1848. These Indians were compelled to come and enroll in order to receive their payment, and expected to be fed. No provision was made for this. Mitchell asks for a remittance for that payment.
