State Archives - Tours

Church group visiting the State Archives to do research. If your class or organization is interested in learning more about Kansas history research, you may want to schedule a visit to the State Archives in Topeka.

There is no charge for using the research facility, but please contact the reference staff in advance if you are bringing a group so we can make any special arrangements that are needed. Group visits should be scheduled during the hours we are open to the public. Please let us know the number of people coming, arrival time, and research topics. We want to make sure we are prepared to provide the best service possible.

For group visits, we can give a brief orientation upon your arrival or we can give a more in-depth presentation. We can focus on a particular topic, such as History Day projects or family history. Staff members can also provide an orientation to our online resources, including Kansas Memory, and digital newspapers.
