Summary: An aerial view from a Kansas National Guard plane, piloted by Joe Rosacker, shows flooding along the Kansas River. At the unidentified location, a building is submerged underwater, a road is washed out, and crop land is destroyed by the rising waters. During June and July of 1951, extremely heavy rains caused some of the greatest flooding ever seen in Kansas history. These high waters affected all the river basins of the Kansas, Neosho, Marais des Cygnes and Verdigris.
