Summary: In this letter to Johnston Lykins, Robert Simerwell relays his displeasure with Lykins' apparent disregard for the lack of raw materials and goods at the Carey Mission in Michigan Territory. In fact, Simerwell asks Lykins "how do you suppose we will get along this winter we have nothing and no money to purchase any thing with it is impossible to get leather in this country and this you knew we have to dismiss our shoemaker at Thomas they have not got a shoe made in 17 days."
