Scope and content: Consists of drafts and versions of two of Edwin Menninger's manuscripts, the autobiographical "Midwestern Magnificence" written in 1948 and the book Fantastic Trees, published by Viking Press in the 1960s. Typically includes handwritten corrections, notations, and additions. Fantastic Trees includes table of contents, photo captions, bibliography, some galley proofs, and footnotes; Midwestern Magnificence has photographs.
