  1. This photograph shows the Topeka Avenue bridge, looking north, and was taken on April 6, 1935. On the right side, a sign states this project is a U.S. Works Program through the department of the Kansas State Highway. *1
  2. This photograph shows the Kansas Emergancy Relief Committee Transient Hospital. The hospital is located at 135 Southwest Topeka Boulevard, on the southside of the bridge. This photograph was taken on April 6, 1935. *2
  3. This photograph taken on April 6, 1935 shows a Victorian style duplex on the south side of the river. Notice the intricate details on the home, including the honeycomb like shingles and the detailed cement blocks over each window. *3
