Scope and Content

Scope and content: Several letters to Kansas Governor Humphrey request the reappointment of George Miller as the Superintendent at the Wyandotte Asylum. The individuals of the letters express their support as well as their belief in Millers? ability. A letter from John Walker asks the Governor to keep Mrs. Chase, a teacher at the Institution for the Blind he informs the Governor that she has only been reprimanded once by the Superintendent and has not repeated her actions. Additional letters concern the appointment of positions within the Board as well as Superintendent.
