Topeka - Kansas Museum of History - Homeschool Wednesday

1978 katp field school at the Tobias site in Rice CountyThis month's Homeschool Wednesday features: Uncovering the Past. How do we know where prehistoric people lived, what they ate, or how they acted? Archeology helps us answer these questions through the careful excavation of sites and the analysis of artifacts. Students will learn about archeology and how archaeologists find, process, and classify objects.

Join us for Homeschool Wednesdays. This program is held the first Wednesday of each month during the school year at the Kansas Museum of History in Topeka. We'll use primary sources and hands-on activities to help students learn about each topic. The program is geared toward fourth grade through high school students. Preregistration is requested; space is limited.
