Topeka - Kansas Museum of History - Homeschool Wednesday

This month's Home School Wednesday features Foodways: From Family Traditions to Fast Food. Throughout time food has served as a medium for expressing fellowship, fostering relationships, and preserving culture. From traditional family recipes to the advent of fast food, food has remained at the center of American life.

Find out how food both impacts, and is impacted by, cultural, social, and economic practices.

This program is held the first Wednesday of each month during the school year at the Kansas Museum of History in Topeka. We'll use primary sources and hands-on activities to help students learn about each topic. The program is geared toward fourth grade through high school students. Preregistration is requested; space is limited.
