Abstract: Lists trading post accounts primarily with Indians, probably the Potawatomi. The Ewing, Clymer and Company vol. contains accounts with the "Sugar Creek outfit," a trading post on the original Potawatomi reservation in present Kansas along Sugar Creek near present Centerville. Other accounts are with area founders and notables including Albert Gallatin Boone; Joseph N. & Stephen Bourassa; Jim Bridger; William Miles Chick; Joseph Ballinger Chiles; Samuel Roby Curtis; Anthony L. Davis, Joseph R. de Prefontaine; William Gillis; Boone & Seth Hays; Samuel J. Hensley; "Hicks and Co. ('Wiandott')" [Wyandot delegation]; Benjamin Lagautherie; Clement Lessert; Johnston Lykins; Isaac McCoy; Allen B. H. McGee, Joseph Parks; Baptiste Peoria; Joseph & Peter Rivard; Samuel C. Roby; Father Pierre-Jean de Smet, S.J.; A. B. Van Bibber; Joseph Vertefeuille; and Daniel Yoacham. The Miami post day book contains accounts of traders along Miami Creek.
