Bluemont Singer RevivalEnjoy the music of Bluemont Singer Revival free in the Kansas Museum of History lobby. The members of the group are Larry Dimmitt, Bryon Schlosser, Tim Clothier and Dan Pulliam, all living in Topeka, and J.B. King (not pictured) from Lawrence. The folk group began with four fraternity brothers at Kansas State University in early 1962. They performed for university and fraternity functions and other organizations in Manhattan, and soon their popularity spread to nearby communities. In the fall 1962 they auditioned in Kansas City for the Ted Mack Amateur Hour and on January 6, 1963, they appeared on that show, televised nationwide. They play a mix of folk, bluegrass, gospel, and other songs from the 1950s and 1960s.
