Blue Star Museums

Participating in Blue Star Museums, presented by National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, to offer free admission to active military, guard, and reserve personnel and up to five family members from May 18, 2019, to September 2, 2019

Behind-the-Scenes Tours

Go behind-the-scenes at the Kansas Historical Society and explore the vast collections! Our curator-led tours include the museum, archives, and archeology collections. Learn why we collect and how we preserve tens of thousands of artifacts, documents, photographs, and excavated pieces from our past. The 1.5 hour walking tour is for adults and children 10 and older. Advanced ticket purchase is requested but tickets can be purchase at the door the day of the event. Cost: $4 for Kansas Historical Society members, $15 for general public. Tours will be offered April 7, June 29, July 28, September 14, and November 17, 2019. Purchase tickets online
