Physical Description: Nickel-plated brass kerosene, wire loop handle, clear glass hurricane chimney.

History of Object: Purchased from Packrat Antiques for Working on the Railroad Permanent Gallery Exhibit. The Adams & Westlake Manufacturing Company (trademarked Adlake) operated from 1874 to 1899 and became the most successful railroad lantern companies. (see accession file for more company history).
