Physical Description: a) Green and cream naugahyde chaps. On each side, the waist and inside leg area are cream-colored naugahyde. Scalloped, top-stitched inside edge. Vertically along the cream-colored area are four silver-colored metal conchos with leather string centers. One each side. The outside leg area and the entire reverse side are green naugahyde. Semi-circular top-stitching. Applied letters ?F/H/R? in white on lower part of each side. Four metal snaps along each outside edge with corresponding metal metal rings along inside back edge. Twisted leather strap connects chaps sides at waistband. Leather and metal buckle at waistband back. Chaps padded between layers with foam rubber. b) Closed nickel-plated hook with box loop. c) Closed nickel-plated hook with box loop

History of Object: According to accession file, Gerald Roberts made these pick-up man's chaps, in 1963, for the Flint Hills Rodeo. Purchased at an estate sale of Emmett Roberts, founder of the Flint Hills Rodeo, No. 8. 1987.
