Physical Description: Pie Bird. Hollow bird with its neck straight up and its beak open. A hole goes from the center of the beak through the base. The bird has a white body with green eyes and green wings. It sits on an oval coral pink base with two half-circle notches parallel with the wings.

History of Object: Given by Effie Montgomery Kelley (Mrs. Charles A. Kelley) from Belleville, KS from 1905 to 1919 and lived in Ottawa, KS from 1919 to 1975. This is a Pie Chick made by Shawnee Pottery. It could be purchased alone and were also given by Pillsbury as a premium. Shawnee Pottery was founded in 1937 in Zanesville, Ohio
