Entitled: Wichita

Physical Description: Lobby card advertising the movie "Wichita." Horizontal orientation. Printed on heavy white paper. Color photo printed along the right half of the card shows a large group of people (mostly men) in an exterior scene. The men wear suits or jeans and button-down shirts. Most wear cowboy hats. One woman is visible at the center of the photo. Buildings line the street on both sides in the background. The title of the movie is printed in red on a yellow background along the left half of the image. Beneath the title is a drawing of a man with a smoking pistol in his hand. He stands over the body of another man. Skyline of a small town on the horizon in the background. Credits are printed beneath the drawing. Back is plain white with numbers penciled in the upper left corner.

History of Object: Donor purchased the collection of movie posters between 2003 and 2004. The donors came to Kansas from Texas in 2003 so that James Haines could take a position as the CEO of Westar Energy in Topeka. Cynthia Haines is on leave from the University of Texas at El Paso, where she is an associate professor in film studies. They began the collection after moving to Kansas.
