Physical Description: Butter knife with blade of handle bent down so blade is in different level from handle. Cutting edge irregularly scalloped. Handle flares to teardrop shape with pointed end. Handle framed with double ridge and volute and section for monogram (blank). Double leaf in center and single leaf on crack end of handle incorporated in design. Same design on front and back of handle. End of handle covers up. "Olive" pattern.

History of Object: Artifact found at Fort Hays with no accession number, April 1980.

Date: Between 1874 and 1898
