Boeing Airplane Company manufactures B-29 in WichitaKansas business and industry began growing even prior to statehood. The state quickly gained a reputation for its agriculture and many businesses developed as a result including milling. Railroads connected the state to the East and farm products were exported as raw materials from Kansas.
