Meder Internship Fund

Marylouise Meder

Dr. Marylouise Meder had a lifelong career in library science, working in college libraries and later teaching at Emporia State University. After her death, she left a bequest establishing a fund for internships. This endowment funds an internship every other year in the State Archives.

Meder earned her Ph.D. in 1964 from the University of Michigan’s School of Information. She had a long career in library science, working in college libraries and later teaching at Drexel University, Rutgers University, and Texas Woman’s University before joining the Emporia State University faculty. Meder taught at ESU’s Library and Information Management from 1971 until her retirement in 1991. Dr. Meder was a life member of Foundation, since 1976.
